Zones 1 and 2 of Yala National Park will reopen to visitors on 16 October, the Department of Wildlife Conservation has announced.
The department said the two zones were closed on 14 September as a precaution to protect wild animals during severe dry weather.
It said the closure also allowed repairs and maintenance work on the park’s road network.
For visitors and tour operators in the south, the reopening restores access to the two zones ahead of the year-end tourist season.
The department said reservations for wildlife bungalows and campsites inside the park can be made from 1 November.
