The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism will provide a special Saturday service for urgent document attestation on 17, 24 and 31 October, the Ministry announced.
The service will run from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the Consular Affairs Division Head Office in Battaramulla. The Ministry said it will not be available at regional offices.
People who need documents attested under the arrangement must obtain an appointment in advance. The Ministry said appointments can be booked online through the e-Channeling system.
Attested documents are commonly needed for employment, education and travel abroad, so the Saturday sessions may help people who cannot visit during weekdays.
The first special session takes place on Saturday, 17 October.
