Asiri Central Hospital issued a statement on 16 October responding to public speculation about a recent death at the hospital.

The hospital expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased and urged the public and media not to circulate unverified information.

Replying to allegations of medical negligence on social media, the hospital said its medical and healthcare teams had provided appropriate care in line with established clinical practices and professional standards throughout the patient’s treatment.

It also denied a claim that the release of the remains to the family was delayed because hospital bills were unsettled.

The management asked the public and media to rely on information from the relevant authorities and to avoid unsubstantiated claims that could add to the family’s distress or harm the reputations of health professionals and institutions.

The hospital said it would continue to cooperate fully with the authorities and respect any legal process, and called for sensitivity while the matter is handled through the appropriate channels.
