SriLankan Airlines has extended the suspension of all flights between Colombo and the Saudi Arabian cities of Riyadh and Dammam until 24 October 2026, the airline said in a statement on Friday.

The national carrier cited the prevailing security situation in the region and said the decision was taken for the safety and security of passengers and crew.

It said services to both cities will resume once conditions are assessed as suitable for commercial flights.

For Sri Lankan travellers and workers who use these routes, the airline asked affected passengers to contact its hotline on 1979 within Sri Lanka or +94 11 777 1979 from abroad. A WhatsApp chat line, +94 74 444 1979, is also available, as are travel agents and the website www.srilankan.com.

The airline thanked passengers for their understanding and cooperation.
