Pakistan have won the T20 international series against Sri Lanka 2-0 with one match still to play, extending Sri Lanka’s losing run in bilateral T20 internationals to six matches.

Sri Lanka lost a series 2-1 to the West Indies and were beaten 3-0 by England before the latest defeat. None of the last six matches produced a close finish.

The results have come under a new coaching setup led by Gary Kirsten and revised team management, introduced after Sri Lanka went out at the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup.

Batting consistency, fielding, bowling execution and the team’s ability to adapt to match situations have been the main concerns in the recent defeats.

Sri Lanka will next play the remaining match of the series against Pakistan.
