More than 12,000 local and international Scouts are expected at the 11th Sri Lanka National Scout Jamboree, to be held from 17 to 23 January 2027 at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium.

The event marks the 115th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Scout Association. Preparations are under way.

Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake met heads of State institutions and the State and private sector sponsors of the Jamboree at the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday. The meeting discussed the support State institutions are giving and the financial sponsorship from State and private bodies.

Dr. Kumanayake said the Jamboree is a significant opportunity for schoolchildren. He said the Government is giving its fullest support, but contributions from the private sector are also essential to its success.

Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage, Chief Scout Commissioner Manoj Nanayakkara, International Commissioner and Co-Jamboree Director Dr. Asanka Eriyawa and Assistant Chief Commissioner and Co-Jamboree Director Amil Abeysundara also attended.
