The wife of a restaurant owner shot outside their restaurant in Nagoda, Kalutara, has died in hospital, police said.
Two unidentified gunmen arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on the couple at around 7.40 a.m. on 9 October before fleeing, according to police.
The restaurant owner died at the scene. His wife was admitted with serious injuries and died early on Sunday while being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Nagoda Hospital.
Police said the woman was 52 years old and lived in the Dodangoda area.
Kalutara South Police are continuing investigations. No arrests have been reported.
