Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) hosted the Bahrain national cricket team for training in Sri Lanka from 15 September to 1 October, the board said in a media release.

The team took part in a series of training sessions and played three T20 practice matches against sides arranged by SLC. SLC provided practice venues, indoor nets, bowling machines and match day requirements.

SLC said the support is part of its efforts to help develop cricket among Associate Nations, which are teams outside the full-member group of the International Cricket Council.

Bahrain Cricket Federation Chairman Mohammed Mansoor met Eran Wickramaratne, Honorary Chairman of the SLC Transformation Committee, to thank the board for its support. SLC Honorary Treasurer Dinal Phillips and Chief Executive Officer Ashley de Silva also attended.
