The Colombo High Court has ordered former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama to be remanded until the conclusion of his trial in a corruption case filed by the Bribery Commission.

High Court Judge Rashantha Godawela issued the order after considering submissions made by the Commission.

Bogollagama was arrested by the Bribery Commission on Wednesday. An open warrant had been issued against him after he failed to appear in court on several occasions in connection with the case.

The trial continues.
