The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has released the lists of candidates qualified for first-phase interviews to recruit 23,000 graduate teachers.
The posts are in Class 3, Grade 1(a) of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service and will fill vacancies in national and provincial schools teaching in Sinhala, Tamil and English.
Ministry Secretary Nalaka Kaluwewa said the lists follow the written examination held by the Department of Examinations on 24 May. Applications were open to graduates in both the public and non-public sectors.
Candidates can check their status on the ministry website through the web links for each of the nine provinces, using their examination or national identity card number.
Those who need documents from their universities should apply for them before 20 October. Interviews are due to begin in November. Call letters will be sent by post, and schedules will be posted on the ministry and provincial education websites by the end of the month.
