President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is to inaugurate the Sri Lanka Economic and Investment Summit 2026 at the Shangri-La Colombo, organisers said.

The two-day event, organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, runs on 12 and 13 October. Its theme is “Positioning Sri Lanka in a Changing Global Economy: Resilience, Reform, and the Future of Economic Policy”.

The programme covers economic resilience, regional value chains, healthcare, energy and the role of digital technology. Business leaders, policymakers and international experts are due to discuss investment prospects and ways to sustain growth beyond economic stabilisation.

Keynote speakers include Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and T. Krishnakumar, Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. Senior representatives of the Asian Development Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Zydus Lifesciences and the International Finance Corporation will also speak.

The summit continues on 13 October.
