Former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in connection with a corruption allegation, according to reports on Wednesday.
He had gone to the Commission on Wednesday to give a statement about the allegation. Reports said he was arrested after being questioned by investigators.
Further details of the allegation have not yet been disclosed.
Bogollagama is due to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
