Officers from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), the Police and the Police Special Task Force (STF) searched the Mount Lavinia home of Sanjaya Samarasinghe, private secretary to Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, overnight on Friday.
The search reportedly began at around 10.30 p.m. on 16 October and continued until about 4.30 a.m. on 17 October.
The officers reportedly searched the entire premises and recorded statements.
The authorities have not officially disclosed why the search was carried out or given further details.
