The online application system for Police Clearance Certificates has been restored after a technical breakdown, the Sri Lanka Police Media Division said on Friday, 16 October.
The failure had prevented applicants from obtaining police clearance reports, according to a statement from the division.
Applicants can now submit their applications online again. The public has been advised to use the official Sri Lanka Police website, www.police.lk.
Police clearance reports are commonly required for jobs, visas and overseas travel, so the outage affected people with pending applications.
Applications can be submitted online from Friday.
