Sri Lanka Customs has met its revenue target for 2026, collecting Rs. 2,208 billion by 13 October against an annual target of Rs. 2,207 billion.
The collection is Rs. 1 billion above the target, with more than two months of the year still remaining.
Customs duties and related levies form part of the revenue the Government relies on to meet its annual fiscal goals, so reaching the target early is relevant to public finances.
The department has not said whether collections will be revised upward for the rest of the year.
